夏作のトマトの潅水は一番安い潅水チューブを使った。その場合どうなるか・・・。 ポンプに近いところに多く水が出て、遠くのほうは少ししか出ない。これでは均一に作物を育てることはできない。 秋作では、点滴チューブ、を使いその点を改善することにした。

Master has been a farmer for 21 years. During these 21 years, the troubles attacked him time after time in different forms.
Sometimes, bacteria or bugs or wild animals attacked his crops.
Sometimes, a like swindler aims at the budget of his agriculture conference.
Sometimes, a disturb peace and order of agriculture village from inside and outside.
That is why farmers are busy.

福島の本まで危ない
ネットで本を買った。数日後に本が届いた。
発送地が福島市だったので気になって放射線量をガイガーカウンターで計ってみた。
国際基準で安全とされている年間被曝量は 1mSv/y
これを時間当たりの被曝量に換算すると 0.11μSv/h
となる。
本の表面は 0.44μSv/h
封筒の内側は 0.42μSv/h （写真は封筒の内側）
驚いた。
丹波市内どころか、愛知県までこのガイガーカウンターを持っていっていろんな条件で計ってみたが、0.2μSv/hを超える事がなかったのに、福島から届いた本から 0.44μSv/h が計測された。
福島から来るものは農産物どころか本まで危ない。
福島の人に悪気は無いが、世間が隠そうとしていたり、忘れようとしていたり、タブー視したり、自重しようとしている、悲しくて危険な事実は確実に、いろんな経路で広がっている。
これが現実です。

Hassaku（八朔）

Village invited me to the ceremony, called Hassaku（八朔）. 朔 means the 1st day, so that 八朔 means 1st of August. According to the Luna calendar, 31 Aug of solar calendar is 1st Aug.
At this day, people pray for safety rice harvest.
What people do today is having a party at shrine.
It is fun to drink with villager. It is like a trip abroad in Asian country side.

Solar heat sterilization
Finally I have finished setting up solar heat sterilization in the green house.
I could have done earlier, but, more I learn more I wanted to add new materials. As far as I learn the phototrophic bacteria is a solution to avoid the illness and continuous cropping.
After fertilizing, soil is covered by the clear plastic film. I found the machine which put the plastic film properly called multier is seriousely nesesarry.

Phosphoric acid

Fertiliser dealer whom I met recently told me that Tomato needs 30kg of nitrogen and 45kg of phosphoric acid for 1000 square meters.These numbers are quite different from what I have believed.
Especially, regarding to phosphoric acid, almost nobody had told me anything. According to him, phosphoric acid is necesarry for primaly and secondaly metabolism. Primaly metabolism makes tomato tree and secondaly metabolism makes sugar content.
As fas as I know phosphoric acid is left in the soil and farmers do not know how to deal with it. As to say, phosphoric acid is a nuisance.
Phosphoric acid is taken by the very healthy new tip of roots. And the very healthy tip can be created in the soil which does not cantain organic acid which is created from the organic matters like left roots which is not ripen into full maturity.
Now it is necassary to add microorganics to break down organic mattes in the soil for increasing sugar contents of tomatoes.

Specify myself.
This is what I found through these 16 months experience. I often see the self introduction of new farmers like "I have been making good soil with organic fertilisers, and growing 50 kinds of seasonal vegetables. I like to offer my vegetable box in 2000 yen. For restaurant owner, I like to be ordered what you like..." I see this kind of description 1000 times. I think they won't have nothing.
I, myself, like to be tomato farmer who harvests through the year. I run my farm according to JAS organic low. I use wood not oil to heat up the green house in winter time. And I like to produce tomato ketchup and tomato juices. And I employee the workers.

Gut guitar
I bought a gut guitar.
In these days, I have faced a limit of the rock. I mean whatever I hear they sound similar. Somebody copies somebody and adopt the situation. No need to say, this is the way of evolution, as known.
But I am sick of it, because I need a stimulation.
As written before, I am listening to classical guitar. In this category, the music is well known, but the technique is so fresh to me.
That is way I bought a gut guitar.

Get started
Rain
Hummer knife rotor makes old tomato trees into the pieces. And it helps tomatoes to going back to soil. After this process, I put the base fertiliser. And turning the soil over and makes furrows by the tractor.

元上司
晴れ
元上司Ｙさんに会いに和歌山県紀ノ川市に向かう。
元上司を表す言葉はたくさんある。識者、勉強家、良きリーダー、ムードメーカー、腕利き商社マン・・・。
日本の某巨大商社の執行役員をされ永年理事に着かれている。今は退職され自分で会社をされている。退職される直前数年間僕はこの人に色々仕込んでもらった。自分の中で一番大きく変わったのは仕事に自信が持てるようになったことだ。今まで頭の中でバラバラに配置されていた情報が一斉に整理整頓され、個性ある商社マンとして自分の世界を人に話して聞かせることができるようになった。
実際それが高じて農業を目指す訳だが。
色々ネタを用意していてくれた。
活水器・トマト農家見学。
これらをたたき台に話を聞いている。この人の話は聞くに限る。そしてできるだけ言われたとおり行動する。自分では全く理解できないこともあるけれど、そうしている内に自分では到底たどり着けないだろう所にたどり着くことができる。
今日もそうだった。やっぱり超スーパー腕利き商社マンだった。
仕事の8割以上は情報収集に尽きる。

Need to be harmonised

Everyone has his or her own point of view. And it makes the life face to the particular direction. Between well going marriage or friend ship these direction or point of views synchronise or harmonise each other and something new which no one expected.
The factors which fill the point of view, as far as I recognise, can be "love", "money" and "philosophy".

War is over

Even Obon, farmer does not take any day off. We are working according to the nature.
And it is the anniversary of the end of the war. 15th Aug 1945 Japan signed the Potsdam Declaration and accepted unconditioned surrender. It has been 66 years.
My grand farther was Second Lieutenant. He came back from war alive, and passed away on 9th Jan 1989, 2days after Showa emperor passed away.

Summer Sonic 2011 Osaka
My best friend and I go Summer Sonic in Osaka.
This is not exaggeration to say I could keep working because of this event. Summer Sonic is the huge rock event and invites about 30 rock bands from overseas, including RHCP.
Meeting Take in Osaka and we drive to the place.
Fuck, there is many people, and died of crazy heat.
We saw X-Japan. We did X jump. Honestly X-Japan was really good band much more than my expectation. But The red hot chilli peppers was easily above these good band. They are in the different dimension. New guitar Josh looked in a good mix. He played old songs
for our expectation and showed his colour in the new songs.

液肥レポート報告
晴れ
昨年9月からA社のバイオ液肥の試用をさせてもらっている。11月から3月までは試験区・対象区を設けて液肥の窒素肥料としての有効性試験をした。そのレポートを5月に提出したのだが、それだけでは分からないだろうと思い、A社の担当者に説明をしに行く。
師匠が一緒に来てくれるというので言葉に甘え同行してもらう。師匠の提案でA社付近にある風力発電所も見てみようと言うのだ。
レポート発表に集合した人数は予想を大きく下回り、残念なことにA社の会長はお見えではなかった。いま一番会いたい人なのに・・・。会長にエネルギー問題についての意見を聞きたかった。
風力発電所への道が崩れて行けないそうなので、丹後半島一周のドライブに出た。久しぶりに海を見た。

Magazine brings me to Tokyo

Fortunately, we got a interviewer today too. A group of measure magazine come to our farm.
The group includes its president. But he works as camera man, and never does look important.
I guess this magazine has been kept created by his own since and effort. At the first sight.
He is one of parson who makes me excited.
This company starts bringing harvest from Tamba to Tokyo.
This is really good idea, as it is unbelievable but there is no vegetables from west Japan in Tokyo market. Don't you think the authority controls this matter too?

How to garbage

Since we moved here, we follow the rule of dispose dairy garbage.
There is one day a month for collecting metal, PET bottle, glass bottle.
We put them in a certain box and bring to the village garbage station in the morning, and collect the box in the evening.
Almost of villager follow the rules. They still take care of the relationship among neighbours.

Got interviewed

We got a guest today.
A president of direct shop located in Kita-ward, Kobe, visits us with a chef of a so famous hotel.
In these days I got interviewed.
A hotel in Kobe organises a fes which serves foods cooked from Hyogo local food. Hyogo prefecture has 4 countries according to old map. They are Tajima, Tamba, Settsu and Awaji. We are located in Tamba. It introduces these 4 countries week by week.
In Tamba 3 framers included me were interviewed.
We got a guest today.

Madonna
出荷を済ませて大阪に向かう。
大阪での用事を済ませた後、いつものCDショップに入る。目的は村治佳織のCDを手に入れるためだ。
僕はギターが好きでロックが好きだ。でも最近何を聞いても感動が薄くなってきた。自分を含めて誰かが誰かのコピーで何を聞いても同じようにしか聞こえないと言う悲しい状態になっていた。畑仕事の最中に落語を聞きまじめたのもそういう訳だ。
そこに現れたのが村治佳織だ。国内外のレーベルから10数枚のCDを出している。
クラシックギターの技術が高い彼女のプレーはジミヘン並に何をどうやって弾いているのか分からない。どう聞いたってギター1本で弾いたようには聞こえないところが多い。
彼女のお陰で当分飽きないと思う。僕もトレモロ奏法を練習することにした。
9月のコンサートのチケットを買った。

Ilness
I have worked for tomato, cucumber and long green pepper since winter. It was the first experience for us to bring up something together.
And now they are giving us back their harvests.
Some of them died by illness. Whatever I do to fix it, a part of them keep dyeing. On the other hand, some grows very much, and give us harvests more than our expectation.

正直爺さん
晴れ
正直爺さんと意地悪爺さんは実在する。
この地域は言わずもがな高齢者が多いのでご近所付き合いをさせてもらってるとどうしても相手は爺さん婆さんになる。昔話で見たとおりの顔つきの正直爺さん、意地悪爺さんがいるから面白い。陽と陰というか・・・。
正直爺さんはトマトを買ってくれたり、話が面白かったり、笑顔が素敵だったりで建設的なんだけど、意地悪爺さんは水利の事で注文をつけてきたり、トマトをタダで手に入れようとしたり（アゲルケドヤ）、挨拶を一切しなかったり、口がだらしなく開いていたり、車を邪魔な所に止めたり関わると面倒臭いことが多い。
爺さんになるということは濃度が増すということだ。

House owner
My house owner is really sad parson.
The other day, he got visited by the water supply company and asked to pay, as he has not paid since last Aug. According to the agreement, I pay for water to him and he pays to water company. He has pressed me to pay for it sometimes with unreasonable logic.
Now I know he has not paid for a year.

Tomato ketchup
We got visited by a parson who got know us through internet. This parson has carried Tamba foods to his customers for 10 years.
We invited him to our house and talk for 1 hour.
I made a tomato ketchup.
It took 3 days, but it tastes, I think, good. As for as I thought, ketchup is the best process food by tomatoes.

Job intervew

We gotta drive to Osaka for a interview to be an instructor at a certain institute which has agriculture course.
We are seeing the chairperson of the board of directors.
He is a parson who develops agriculture course, and he has overcome many obstructs for it. Passionate parson. Looks still young, like 30 something.
After that, we separate and wife went to a bar, and I went to a coffee shop until the night.
Needless to say, Osaka is nice.

Ready for Summer fes

I needed to join a work for village. We gotta work for summer fes.
Rising up big flag for it by putting up a huge bamboo. And hanging up many lanterns from shrine to the gate.

大納言
晴れ
隣町の春日町に大納言という名前の小豆がある。
あると言うのは、そこが原産地という意味だ。厳密には丹波市春日町東中なんだけど。
その大納言という小豆は大粒で鞘が黒い。でも東中の隣の集落に出るとそのように育たない。北海道産の大納言などは白鞘の小豆のと交配種で日本全国で育ちやすいように品種改良（？）されている。
でも、ホントに黒鞘で大きくてうまいのは、春日町東中でしかとれない。
なぜ大納言と名前がついたか・・・。
大納言、中納言、少納言と言うのは武士の階級を表す言葉だ。
殿中で抜刀した場合、理由に関係なく、中納言、少納言は切腹を申し付けられたが、大納言はそうではなかった。大納言は腹を切らないのだった。

Trainee
Master got visited by a trainee of his master.
Working with her made me learn things.
I came Ichijima because of mater. At first sight, I was interested in him very much. I have visited more than 10 farmers to learn from. He was the only one who showed a honest emotion. And I felt his intelligent covered by the wildness.
I realised what he is doing in the international organic agriculture society after becoming his intern.

Takashima, Shiga

I gotta drive to Takashima, Shiga to join a meeting to study.
Out there, an organic agriculture is supported by 3 groups. One, of course farmers. Tow, local administration. Three, private company. These 3 are in corporation in a good balance.

Out there, an organic agriculture is supported by 3 groups. One, of course farmers. Tow, local administration. Three, private company. These 3 are in corporation in a good balance.

Checked the strength of the support for cucumber and exchange the weak to new one. And build new support for green pepper to prevent fall down. For tomatoes, we did nothing as we always treat them very much.

New business

Wife always makes me laugh.
She has been busy. But she starts a new business. It is the first day for it.
She opens a small vegetable shop in a camp sight in the town. Not only veges but also she sales tomato frozen smoosy.
I can not understand where the vitality comes from. She made 7000yen turnover in the morning and came back home.

MOAの勉強会
MOAの豊岡での勉強会に誘ってもらったので参加することにした。
Rさんが家まで迎えに来てくれるというので、お言葉に甘えて乗せてもらう。何かがあふれ出ていて直感的で才能豊かそうなMさんと一緒だった。話が相当面白い。
豊岡はコウノトリの郷としてブランド化を計ってきたところだ。もともとこの地に生息していたコウノトリが農薬散布なんかで住まなくなった事を重く捕らえ、環境負担の少ない農業、有機じゃないんだけど、を行政も一緒になって進めてきたところだ。今はコウノトリが住んでいる。
思いがけず、天田のMさんに再会した。
白絹病について相談したら、トマトにとって病気でも、土は異常を元に戻そうとしているだけだ、と言われ感動した。今日の一番の収穫だった。
途中出石でそばをご馳走になった。
そういえば、いつだったろうか、同じ店でそばを食べたことがある。町並みにも記憶があった。
勉強会の〆は城之崎であった。
ここも前に来た。
当時は貧乏で温泉街の外れに素泊まりで宿を取った。
その当時の自分は今の自分を全く想像していなかった。旅は永遠に続く。

New micro organics

We gotta go to Aichi pref to see a farmer who has organised a agriculture called KY system. My ex-boss told me to see this parson.
Mr.KY is taking vegetables which goes to garbage, and cut them into small pieces, and add the micro organics on them, and making organic compost for tomatoes.
Tomatoes in his system has high sugar content, this is because his tomatoes is sold in high price. For example, about 200g of mini tomatoes is sold 480Yen. His way makes 8mil yen of turn over per 1000 square meters.
It sounds nice, but I still do not know the detail.

ガイガーカウンター
念願のガイガーカウンターを手に入れた。
早速そこらじゅうで計ってみるのだが、家の中、樋の下、ハウスの溝、ハウスの中・外、あんまり変わらない。だいたい、0.08～0.15μSv/h、範囲に収まる。
諸説あるが、国際基準での年間被曝量の安全値は、1mSv、なので毎時に換算すると、0.11μSv/h、となる。
そう考えると、このガイガーカウンターで計った場合、超えてるなぁ。計り方が悪いのか、カウンターそのものが悪いのか、ここも安心できないのか、どうなんだろ。
安全な食べ物を作る有機農家として、このジャンル絶対勉強が必要だ。
今の有機JAS法には、放射性物質の汚染基準が無い。だからといって明らかに放射性物質による土壌汚染が進んでいる地域で野菜を作って売っていいということにはならない。
福島の農家を食べ支えよう、という動きがそこらじゅうで起こっているが、ホントにその人たちは自分や家族や愛する人たちに食べさせるだろうか？福島の（有機）農家の事を考えると胸が痛い。でもそれとこれとはまったく別問題だ。被害者が加害者になっていく事を支えてどうするんだろう？

I like to plant tomatoes through the year according to the standard of organic farm which is fixed in a low. I need to heat up in the winter somehow. I have not seen an organic farmer doing this.
That is why master asked me how strong I keep going.

10th anniversary

We got married on 11th Jul 2001, so that coming 11th is our 10th anniversary.
We gotta get out of here and, of course, we go toward Osaka to cerebrate our 10th anniversary in advance. Osaka has never missed my expectation.
The restaurant we reserved was where we go since we met. It is called "Il Sole" a Italian restaurant in Shinsaibashi.
After this, we take a walk to Namba and spend time in a few bars until midnight.

Master
According to the result of medical exam on the other day, my weight is 57.5kg. This is too light even for me. But it seems right.
Anyway, let me talk about my master again.
I think it is not possible to meet a organic farmer like him. As far as I know he has created 3 important things.
One, he is the first immigrant new farmer to this area. It was 21 years ago. Even now almost of natives here do not welcome immigrants. At the time, I can not imagine how much difficulties and obstructions there were against him. He has overcome all of them.
Two, he is also the first Japanese organic farmer who is accepted by the international organic farmers meetings. He was elected as a director of IFORM Asia at more than 10years ago. This is because of not only his language ability, but also his character and achievement.
Three, he has created a shipping union in this town. It enable new farmers to earn by harvest in the first year.
He is very special.

Tomato curry
Alcohol made me stay in a bed until 10 o'clock. Already, wife has finished harvest twice. In these days she has been working very hard.
As we have a lot of little damaged tomatoes, I gotta cook tomato curry.
In the afternoon, I worked for Sakiyama farm. There we have carrot, potato, spring onion, corn and soy bean. I worked until the sunset.

大阪最高
晴れ
今日は忙しい。大阪に行く。
朝一で、西梅田の就農相談会に行く。目的は3月に知り合ったMOAの人と会うためだ。他にも今の就農を取り巻く環境を今後就農関係の本を書くために知りたかった。就農希望者として大阪府と和歌山県に話を聞いた。農業を始める前にも同じような相談会に何度か行ったが、今は農業への理解度が深くなっているため話の進みが早い。そういえば丹波市からもブースが出ていた。
その後、ある専門学校に行く。その専門学校には農業学科があり、ありがたいことに、農業関係の講師として妻とセットで誘ってもらっている。まだまだ人に話をして聞かせるほどではないのだが、受けたい。
その後、スタジオに入る。関西で一番気に入っているスタジオZIX。ギターアンプの音がいい。良く分からないがマーシャルの100Wとジャズコーがある。今日はドラム＆ギターなので、エレアコを試してみる。相変わらずタケちゃんの成長は早い。ドラムを始めてまだ1年とは思えないくらいだ。3時間があっという間だったが、ちょうどいい。
その後は懐かしい大阪を楽しんだ。大阪最高。

D-suke
Hard rain
Sclerotium rolfsii Curzi keeps damaging my tomatoes. This disease is caused by unfermented compost and high moisture. In my case, I plowed in the old stock of rice of last year into the soil.
Anyway, D-suke came to my farm to get 7kg of tomatoes. He is going to have a event tomorrow in Osaka.
D-suke, I met him last Sep at Sasayama. He shares a company with a few people. And the company used to work for Sasayama sightseeing section. Now he is working for organic vegetable. He is always polite and seems to be wise and clever. Interesting person.

Australian Visa

Once a month, I have to visit a farmer who is taking a trainee like me. But I prefer to stay with my master, because I have never learn something from this kind of opportunity.
At today's farmer, I had 3 questions. And I got no right answer from him. But my master always gives me some answer or clue.
In the evening, I joined a party for people who likes to have a job in Australia. Almost of people there likes to have a permanent visa somehow. As to say, their purpose is to have a permanent visa, doesn't matter what they are doing for life.
In my case there is a possibility to have a visa for business owner.

Tomato got sick
Visit Mr.T for rise bran. He's got 3 bags of them. One bag contains about 1CBM of rice bran. I can take one of them, then I asked 2 friend for other 2 bags.
Bring it back home, and put them into smaller bags for easy handle. Now I made 20 of small bags, but there is still more than half in the big bag.
Wife likes to make cucumber pickles with it.
On the way home, I stopped at the green house, and found several stocks got a illness. I do not know how to say in English. Book says it is caused by the compost which is not enough fermented. Bottom stem got rotten and turned white and the bacteria becomes small ball and increase in the soil. In my case, bacteria come into the body through the scar when I take of the bottom branch on transplanting. Unfortunately, I took care of 10 stocks and brought them out. I put a grab of slaked lime in the place where these stocks were for sterilize.

Medical check

Gotta go to the hospital for medical check. The hospital is located in Hikami-town, 20min drive away. City gives us much better service in these kind matter.
Eyesight got better. Now I have 0.6 on both eyes. It seems to be because I moved to country side.
Back to field, for village water supply, the gate in the mountain was opened today, so that my field is flood. It is sad.

Wood boiler

One of new farmer mates gave me a leaflet of wood boiler for heating solution for the green house in winter time. Generally, people uses oil heater. I do not want to use it, as I am going an organic agriculture which eases burden on the nature circumstance.

明日追肥をするので、農協でエコマグ、コメリで有機石灰を買った。倉庫にカリウムとキーゼライトがあるのでこれで全部都合できた。しかし結構高い。2aのハウスの肥料だけで今回の追肥を入れて23,000円使うことになる。
ちょっと計算してみよう。
2aの目標収量 2,000kg
単価 480円/kg
経費 35％ （送料、梱包、ステッカー等）
機材の原価償却を考えないで計算すると、粗利は
2,000ｘ480ｘ0.65=624,000
624,000円か。そこから肥料代が23,000円出るんだからまあいいか。10aに換算すると粗利は（反収と言う）は3,000,000円になる。このラインは譲れない。

Tomato hanging
Wife has kept working for hanging up tomato branches for 2 weeks. She has spent a long time for it, as I did not plan the detail about the way of hanging them up, so that she has taught by herself reading books. And she found her own way. Therefore.
Because of her effort, our tomato has lots of harvest as shown in the photo.
At 5:30, my phone rang, and the artist on the other day asked me the wrecker service, as his truck stacked in the mud in my field in Sakiyama. We spent 2 hours to bring it up.

トマトの樹勢が落ちてきたようなので追肥をしようと思う。Dr.小祝がいつも言っているとおりミネラル先行でして行こうと思う。
土壌分析の結果で追肥の内容を決めようとするのだが、疑問が生まれる。
元肥を施肥する際、Caなら遅効性の牡蠣殻、Mgなら水酸化マグネシウムを入れている。これらがどれだけ土壌に溶け出したか、そしてこれからどれだけ溶け出すか、これが分からないと量を決めることができない。師匠にそうだんしたら、トマトの樹の姿から判断できるので、土壌分析は不足してそうな成分の検討をつける目安として考えるようにと言われる。

師匠が貸してくれた2007年12月号の現代農業にトマトの樹勢の見方が書いてあった。葉を上位、中位、下位と分け、葉の姿で判断する。例えば、上位の葉が褐変する場合Caが不足している、中位ならKが、という具合に樹勢からのメッセージの受け止め方がある。
ウチのトマトの場合K不足のようだ。Kは果実に多く運ばれるため数多くの果実を同時に実らせる場合大量に必要なようだ。

Set up finished
Finally, we have finished to set up tomatoes planted in both of openfield and green house. We still got many things to do, but it can be said the setting up is finished.
We have 336 stocks in the green house and another 336 stocks openfield. And there are 16 spices.
A few of them are ready for dispatch. I sometimes pick them up to eat. The taste is getting better day by day.

We ve got about 400 stocks of tomato in open field. And each of them needs a support. So that I have kept myself to cut bamboo day after day. Today, those bamboo show up in the field. My tomato farm looks much more professional than before.
I am filled with deep emotion.

A friend of friend of master likes to have a farm in here. And master recommended my farm in Sakiyama where is 10min drive away from my house. It helps me very much as, candidly, I am not interested in it any more, as I like to concentrate on tomato farm in my village.
He will come to see Sakiyama farm on Sat.

Selling young tomatoes
Cloudy to rain
We still have plenty of young tomatoes. Wife brought a part of them to local direct shop. And she is selling them to the local people. Actually she does not do anything, the local people came to her to ask young tomatoes. People knows she has been working hard. She sold 30 of stocks in these 3 or 4 days.

Keep working

Absent for VegiWon. Sorry D-suke. We gotta work for tomato today too. Weather info has told it will be rain all day, but it was wrong.
Wife has kept working for tomato for these 10days. Hanging the branches, taking out the lower leaves, taking out the extra branches, these work needs perseverance. Her working clothes has been always smeared with green powder of tomato.

インパクトドライバー

農業を始めてから本格的な道具が増えた。今回はインパクトドライバーが届いた。ケースを開けたとたん、プロ用、という表示が目に入る。この言葉に弱い。インパクトドライバーはハウスの中の支柱のラックを固定するビスを打ち込むために使う。これで頑丈になった。
数年前、家に自分専用の作業場があっていろんな道具が揃っていて木工なら何でもだいたいできる環境に憧れた。それが知らないうちに手に入っている。何にも作ってないけどいつか、純鉄の小刀、を作ってみたい。

First harvest

It has been good days, in spite of rainy season. I got suntan.
I have just finished to modify the support by exchanging the bamboo parts into metal parts. It costs a bit, but it made support much stronger and makes us work easier.
The first tomato is harvested. Not yum.

Modifying support

At master's farm, we harvest the onions all day. His warehouse is stuffed with them.
In the morning, lunch break and after work at master, I am modifying the support for tomatoes in the green house. It is according to wife's request. She has been working for supporting so hard, but it does not go well as the base of the support is not strong enough. I used bamboo sticks in the parts to reduce the cost, of course bamboo is not so strong. I gotta change all bamboo parts into metal.

トライやるウィーク 2011

今日から一週間師匠の農園に近所の中学生が仕事の体験に来る。
これは兵庫県下でこの時期同時に行われている社会体験プログラムで”トライやるウィーク”と呼ばれている。
今年の中学生は男子が二人。他に、ガソリンスタンド、運動公園、コンビ二、とか華のある職場も他にあるというのに、農業を選んだようだ。
素直ないい子で話の飲み込みが早い。

In the morning, gotta work for village. Today we gotta cut the grass along the liver.

万願寺とうがらし定植
今日も少し早く起きて竹を切りに行く。今日は万願寺トウガラシを定植し支柱を立てる。昨日と同じ場所に竹を切りに行く。一株に一本必要なので200本を切り出すのに5時間かかった。
そうしている間に妻は定植を済ましている。午後に支柱を立て誘引をした。
他に、なす、スイカ、メロンを定植した。

Transplant cucumers

At bamboo grove, at first, making a scaffold cutting the old bamboo and wipe out grasses and others, and cut new bamboo by hand saw, and cut off the branches by hand hatchet, and bring them out of grave, and cut into the length for what I need.
All the way, I was listening to rakugo. It makes me concentrate on the work.
At the same time at the field, wife started transplanting young tomato, and completed the planed number of stocks.
In the after noon until the dawn, we were building the support for cucumber using bamboo, net, strings.

Geiger counter
Rain
We, outside labours, are exposed to radiation during work in the rain. I like to have a Geiger counter to see how much I am damaged.
I think the geier counter should be set in the public place like super market for consumers to see if the products are safe.
Some disguises the origin of the products for the radiation material matter. It can not be a benefit for people. I guess a part of people do not care the radiation material if the products cost less.
