5月1日に大阪から引っ越してきて以来245日毎日連続でブログを書いた。時には内容により誹謗中傷要素が強い事があり、人を傷つけたりしたようだ。その人たちごめんなさい。できるだけそういうことが無いようにこれから配慮して書いていきます。時にはそれをネタに大騒ぎを起こす人もいた。人の行動とは面白い。
これからも厳しい事実をストレートに書いていきたいと思っています。そして生の有機農業の世界を知ってもらいたいと思います。そしてそれが新規就農を目指す人たちの何かの助けになればと思います。
読み続けてくださった皆さんありがとう。時々コメントをくれた遠いところに住む友達、ありがとう。
良い年を迎えてください。愛してます。

Since moving in here from Osaka, I have kept writing this blog every day for 245days. Sometimes the containts are too sharp and hurt someone. Please let me apologize for it. I swear to pay careful consideration not to repeat it. There was someone who exaggerates and makes clamouring a lot for it. It was a fun to see what people do.
I like to keep writing a strict reality, from now on too in a straight descriptions. And I like to show the real society of organic agriculture. And I hope somehow it helps a parson who likes to be a farmer.

年越し

雪

12時に地元の直売所の丹波太郎の大掃除に参加する。新規就農者は丹波太郎の研修生以外来てなくて地元の年配農家さんが30名くらい来てた。その中に混じって掃除をする。
今まであったことのないタイプの人たち、ずっとこの地に住んできた人たちとの作業は面白かった。
なんとなく、やって欲しいことを要求してくる。そこがカワイイ。
例えば窓を拭きたい爺さんが、あんたあそこに手が届くか、と聞いて来る。それは、脚立を持ってきて上の方を拭いてくれ、と言う意味だ。
笑いながら脚立を持ってきて上のほうを拭く。すると爺さんはうれしそうにその場を去る。
掃除に参加した褒美として、向かいの米粉ラーメンをご馳走になる。うまかった。ここは地元でされている合鴨農法の鴨がダシやツミレとして出てくる。
雪がひどいので畑を見に行ったらトンネルが雪の重さでかなりつぶれていた。妻と二人で雪を掻き分け、支柱を建て直し、紐をかけなおした。が、その間も雪が降り続き、作業後見てみると又トンネルには雪が積もっていた。
成り行きを天に任せるしかない。
4時から集落の青年団の作業に参加した。神社で年越しそばを振舞うのでそのための道具を公民館から神社に運んだ。
夜は師匠と石像寺に行こうと思う。

Snow

After coming back home, wife and I worked for New Year Card. This habit had bothered us for long time as it had been troublesome to write messages foe each parson. This year not so much, as we have a lot of thing to write.
We worked until midnight.

猪鍋

晴れ

昨日の深酒にも関わらず、目覚めはすっきりしていた。
今日は師匠の農場の今年最終の出荷日だ。年始は6日からなので、出す野菜が多い。

昼には両親がきてくれた。父に家を畑を見てもらうのは初めてだった。

夜は、N野さん宅で猪鍋を用意してくれるそうで、妻と呼ばれている。兄弟子のT水さんも来ていた。
T水さんは、年は1つ上、丹波では2年先輩。某一流大学の理系を卒業されているので頭が相当いい。でも表には出さない。最初会ったときにもらった名刺の肩書きには、百姓、と書いてあった。そういうところが好きだ。

7時半から11時半までノンストップで食べて飲んで話した。
話の内容はここには書けない。

Woke up 10 o'clock.
Everybody but I, kept drinking and talking until 6am this morning.
I missed the half of party last night. After eating, we all went to my farm for a while, and visited local sake cellar. ↓

Here in Ichijima, there are 4 sake cellar. It means there has been good water. Sake cellar we went today is almost 300 years old.

At home, we started to drink, until they leave.
I really did not want them to leave.

都会の風

午後に大阪からTake、Yoshi、Ayano、が来てくれる。
近所の三丸ストアーの駐車場で待ち合わせた。3人が車から降りてくると都会の風が吹く。華がある。
僕は店の前で餅をついている人たちに混じっていた。そこからAちゃんに声をかけるのだが、全く気づいてくれない。地元の人たちと同化しすぎて分からなかったらしい。

せっかく来てくれんだから、師匠から鶏をもらって、今日はみんなで鶏の解体をしようと思う。
こういうときはYがナイフを握ることになっている。カンがいい。
鶏の解体をしながら、持ってきてもらった丸焼きの鶏を焙って食べる。うまい。6時頃になると寒くて外には居られなくなり中に入る。
同時に風呂を沸かす。

久しぶりにあう都会の人はやっぱり楽しい。
話のテンポがいい。
楽しすぎて、11時くらいに座ったまま寝て、TとYにベッドまで運んでもらった。

Furniture

Mate, I've got a friend who is an ex-wife of best friend of mine. He is Australian named Brendon, whom I met when I was 21. Since then we are good friend. Anyway, she and her daughter are moving to Australia to his place.
She can not bring all of her furniture, so that she gives us a part of them. And I just wanted to see her before her leaving. I took a set of dining table and chair. We had drink and talk on them.

She looked she was in the good atmosphere. Daughter looked complicated, as I felt daughter looked she was in the mixed feeling of sadness and hope. She is just 9 or 10 years old.
They will be doing good.

悪徳業者

どう考えても代金を支払った農機具が動かないのはおかしい。
9月にヤフーオークションで買ったハンマーナイフローターが売り手の言うとおりにいろいろやってみたけど動かない。だから返品することにした。

買った時、商品はパレタイズされ佐川急便の福知山営業所止めで送られてきた。トラックで取りに行き自宅へ持ち帰った。トラックから降ろす時エンジンが掛からなかったのでアルミはしごを架けて引きずり降ろした。120kgほどあるので大変だった。
今回はその逆をする。アルミはしごをトラックに架け120kgを引きずり上げる。妻に手伝ってもらってどうにか積み上げた。
こういう作業が予想されたので、できるだけ返品はしたくなかった。

売主はM来総研という大分の会社で、ヤフーオークション等に多く商品を出している。返品にあたって、先方からの返金を確認してから商品を発送したいと頼んだ。なぜなら、いい加減な商品を送ってくる会社を信用できないからだ。それから、返送に係わる梱包代金、ガソリン代として1万円を請求した。貴重な時間を使うんだから当然だと思う。
ところがどちらも叶わない。担当者と何度かやり取りしたが話が進まないので、上司と話をしたら、この人が更にわからずやで、人を怒鳴りつけて黙らせるタイプだった。中古のものをネットで買うんだから動かないことは良くあることで、文句を言う僕のほうがおかしいと言い、反省の色がない。怒鳴りながら、謝ってるだろう、と言う。怒鳴りながら謝られても納得できない。そもそも謝るのは当たり前で、それ以降の対応を期待していた。話の最後に彼の役職を聞くと、何で答える必要があるんや、と言う。そんな奴とのやり取りこそ時間の無駄だった。
ガソリン代を千円払うと言う。たったそれだけだった。

Warm & nice

Because of bird influenza, local goverment officer came to masters chicken house. And he asked master to shut out sparrows.
Today we work for it. Putting net on the walls.
However nobody knows this is the right solution, because the infection root is not cleared. It can be sparrow, and it can be fly, and it can be something else.
So that this is a kind of measures against media in the worst case.

During work, a interview crew visited master with video camera.

At home, wife made a really gorgeous dinner and gave me a hottie. It was warm and nice night.

御歳暮

2週間に自分の野菜と師匠の野菜を混ぜて実家に送って食べてもらっている。今日はその他普段世話になっている3件に野菜を送った。
僕の友達の奥さんの友達が、妻の実家に住んで家賃を払ってくれている。まずその人に。
それから、前の仕事での上司のY田さんに。この人は某一流総合商社の理事で、仕事の進め方、考え方をほぼマンツーマンで教えてもらった。僕が農業を始めた後でも土壌改良材を紹介してくれるなど、お世話になっている。
それから、Y田さんの紹介で知り合ったSGEという土壌改良材のメーカーの会長に。SGEだけでなく、そこから収穫されたものまで送ってきてもらっている。
その人たちに、お歳暮代わりに野菜を送った。

End and begining of year

Rain

It is about a time to plan how I spend end of year and begining of year.
Tomorrow joining to the party of permaculture.
On 26th, visitting Asa and daughter to Ashiya and saying good by as they are leaving for Australia on 15th Jan. And going to a year end party to Sannomiya with master.
On 27th and 28th, most familier friend come to my place. This is the best thing for me.
On 1st, visitting local temple. Spending time with farmers.
On 2nd, visitting parents to Hirakata. If possible I want to see local friends.
On 3rd, going to Osaka and seeing friends.

Thinking over these things made me excited.

多忙な日

多忙な日だった。
朝、畑に行ってトンネル畝にポンプで水をやる。4本の潅水チューブをフォーク状につないで4畝同時に潅水する方法がうまくいっている。
その後、妻のお世話になっている人の親切で西脇のイチゴ農家を訪問する。60歳くらいのご夫婦で今年で8作目。間口8ｍ奥行き80ｍの5連塔のハウスで高設をされているので、相当初期投資されたようだがかなりうまくいっているようだ。ご主人は某超優良企業を早期退職されていて、顔つき、話し方、てきぱきした作業から推測するところ、仕事もかなりできた人だと思う。こんな上司だったらいいなぁといえる人だ。
その後、兄弟子のブルーベリー農場にフィンランドの人がサンタクロースとして登場するイベントがあるから急いで帰ったが間に合わなかった。ここには妻も収穫を手伝わせてもらったりでお世話になっている。市島の新規就農者の中で、ブルーベリーを栽培し個性がはっきりしていて、吸収したいところが多い。

その後、師匠とＮ野さん宅で夜中まで出荷組合の話をする。Ｎ野さんは男気があって面白い人だった。Ｎ野さんと師匠が何度か握手をしていた。

Reason I left city

Mate, there are about 20 new farmers here for these 10 years.
Each new farmer have his own reason why he left city.
Reason are consisted by many things. Many things are consisted by the positive and the negative.
I think it is fun to see the negatives.
In my case, the biggest negative is "sick of factional strife in the company". Mate, I could not adopt myself to it. That's why I run away from city.
However, unfortunately here is also factional strife. There is no escaping from the negatives.
Others have other reasons. I want to see.

萱葺き

朝、師匠の奥さんから電話があり、畑の近くにトタン張りの古民家が売りに出ているのを教えてもらった。
続いて、T木さんから電話があり、薪をもらえるのですぐ取りに来いと言う。
すぐ行ってトラック一杯の家の廃材をもらった。
帰ると、近所の人から畑を紹介してもらった。

昼から畑に出て、潅水チューブをフォーク状に繋ぎ4畝同時に潅水できるように手を加えた。エンジンの速度を調節することでうまく畝の上に着水させられそうだ。もう少し繰り返し試してみよう。

売りに出ている家は、古いが立地は良かった。丘の上に建っていて前庭は畑で、ハナレと作業場がある。屋根は茅葺でトタンで覆われている。
50年に一度は葺き替える必要があるらしく、今、萱は入手困難だから、まともに萱を買い職人さんを雇うと1000万ほど掛かるらしい。
外から見ただけだが、梁の一部が緩んで落ちかけているので、住めるようにするにはかなり手を入れないといけないようだ。今度中を見せてもらおう。

家に帰り、風呂を沸かした。昨日は火を熾すのに30分くらい掛かったが、今日は5分でできた。風呂は30分ほどで沸いた。

Warm bath

Fine Mate, I think I am so stupid. Now I found my bath does not have a gas boiler. In the morning, visitting Mr.T and get organic rice husks and firewood. I still need cut and chop these firewood. They are for heating bath. I decide to enjoy to make a fire to heat a bath. After lunch, visitting Mr.N. He is one of leader of new farmers and making very good carrots. So that he is one of key persons to make a shipping union. At home, I started to fire to heat a bath. It took about an hour to make stable fire and warm bath. It was the first time to have a worm bath since we moved here. It was very nice.

試行錯誤

天気はいいが寒い。
潅水チューブを使って水撒きを徹底的にやってみたが、うまくいかない。水のほとんどがトンネルのビニールの内側に掛かるだけで、畝の上に着水しない。エンジンポンプの圧をいろいろ変えてみたが結果はあまり変わらない。ウーム。
結局今のところ、パレット3段分高い所に設置したタンクに貯めた水を、落差を利用して撒いて回るのが一番確実だ。この方法がエネルギーを節約できていいのだが、広面積には向かない。将来的には、ハウス内での潅水は自動化したいのでもう少し試行錯誤してみよう。

人は見かけと同じこともあるし、見かけと全く違うこともある。

Fuck, it's cold. Now it is 9pm and -1℃.

It's about a time to decide which farm I shall take. Neighbour, Mr.A introduced me 2 farms in this village. One of them, I will build a green house, size of 6M x 30M. And in there I will start tomato.
Mate, I've got many things to do.

タイプ

昨日は話をしたかった人と話ができて良かった。しかし、話しても話が盛り上がらない人ってのは、お互い話す前からそうなると分かってるんだろうな。

そろそろ、自分のキャラもこの地域に浸透したようだ。
子供の頃から同じでホント面白い。だいたい同じようなタイプの人に好かれ、同じようなタイプの人に嫌われる。好いてくれるタイプの人は好奇心とサービス精神が旺盛でオープンな話し好きな人が多い。
たぶんこれが僕の外面なんだろう。

今日はこの冬で一番寒い日で、朝は1℃だった。まだ寒さは序の口らしい。

Water tube

Fine At farm, I set a water tube on furrows. And it worked ok with warter, but liquid fertilizer as it stopped because of sediment. So that it needs a filter. At night. A chairman of Tamba organic fes, Mr.O, organised a thanks party for fes. We all selebrated success of fes. I have learned, from the preparation of fes, how important listening to others was. The party lasted until midnight. It was fun to talk to people here.

循環から離脱

グループを作るから、グループが壊れる。
一番大きな囲いの中にいればいい。

まとまらないと、敵に攻められやすい。
家族、地域、国、サイズが違えど現象は同じだ。

ナンバーワンは自分じゃなくてもいいじゃない。
人のフンドシで相撲をとるのも悪くない。

暴は暴しか呼ばない。
謀も謀しか呼ばない。

船を操縦するときは星を見て方向を固定する。
手前の波は少しだけ見る。

First visitors

Little rain

It was beautiful morning.
After late breakfast, it started to rain. I really need to be an early riser.
As rain became little, we drove to work. First, we visited a chicken house of my master. Then we moved to my farm.

It is the second time for Haruna and Seth to come to my farm. The first time was in June.

They were the our first visitors since we moved here. At that time, there was nothing. Now the farm changed and it can be looked a farm. In spite of rain, they helped us much.
After coming back to home, girls made a line of dried persimmons.
It was very nice to see them again. We like to visit them to Osaka next.

都会は暖かい

7時半に目覚めたら、畳の上だった。布団が掛けられている。昨日の忘年会の会場で寝てしまったようだ。
しかし、寒くない。
こんなことを丹波でしてしまったら寒くて朝まで眠れないはずだ。ここは神戸市西区であたたかい。ひょっとすると丹波の昼間より、ここの朝の方が暖かい。

このまま三宮に出て妻と合流し丹波に帰ろう。今日はSethとHarunaが遊びに来てくれる。
彼らはワインとパンとチーズを持ってきてくれて、丹波には無い都会の風に触れることができた。6時から明けの2時まで食べたり飲んだりギターを弾いたりして過ごした。
SethにTinariwenと言うサハラ砂漠のバンドを教えてもらった。

Year-end party

HOAS organises a meeting. There we, trainee mate, talk how the training going.
We all were in time, but people from office. They came 30min late, but no excuse, why?
Anyway, it started by a speech of the host farm owner. I have heard his speech for 3 times, always same, boring. It was a time for doze. Sorry.

After meeting, we had a year-end party.
A few of us are include the fuss of organising a shipping union in Tamba, so that we talked a lot and sounded out each other. It was fun.

天才を守る猿

師匠の話から・・・。

人は人に好かれようと絶え間なく努力をする可愛い動物だ。
なぜか。
猿は集団で生活している。生きるためにはどうしても集団で守りあう必要があるからだ。と言いながらも、集団の中にボスのポジションを狙うものが後を絶たない。人には、そういう行動が遺伝子の深い所に書き込まれている。

アインシュタインは相対性理論を説明できても、簡単な数学はできなかったそうだ。
モーツアルトは頭の中で音楽をどんどん書き上げることができても、生活能力が無かったそうだ。
天才は気違いな一面を持っている。気違いな一面のお陰で人のサポート無しでは生きていけない。つまり、社会があるから気違いである天才でも生きていける。その分天才は人類の進化に大きく貢献する。非常に低い確率だが天才の遺伝子は存在する。
天才を守るために僕らは生きている。

Case study

I believe that master and I are in the same direction in the work of making shipping union. Now there are a lot of actors on the stage, as far as I know there are about 10 farmers including me. Each of them thinks he is a wise guy, and talks at the same time in the blight and in the dark. And it makes things complecated.
It looks fun for me, as it is a kind of case study.

トンネル

ずっと小雨

Ａ社の液肥の実験圃場を進めていくには気温が低すぎるため、トンネル資材一式をネットで揃えた。農業資材を何でもネットで買えるとはすごい。店の営業時間を考えなくていいので僕には便利だ。

風が強く、何度もビニールが風で煽られて辛かったけど、妻と協力して日没前に12畝分のトンネルを張り終えた。一人では到底無理だったと思う。妻は本来こういう作業をするタイプの人じゃないけれど、いつも協力してくれる。ありがとう。

夜は丹波市有機農業研究会の定例会があったけれど、有機農業祭の準備、当日、片付けで3日を使っているので畑が全然進んでないから、やりたかったことをする為に今日は欠席。
５ヶ所分の土壌分析をした。

Careless behave

Master looked a bit excited this morning, as he has been thought about how we could unite through this weekend.
We talked abot it over and over.
And he pointed out my weak point. The other day, I wrote a few sarcastics about new farmers in this blog. And they found it and got angry with it. What he wanted to say was, even if it is true, it made more difficult for us to unite. He thinks it is because of my careless behave.

Y名酒造

早朝は昨日の有機農業祭の片付けをする。
9時から市内見学ツアーに添乗する。
まず、N野さんのニンジン圃場見学。地元の名士Ｔ木さんは有機農業新規就農者の支援を惜しまない人だけに、この圃場の出来の良さは気分がいいようだ。ツアーの参加者は昨日のメンバーとはうって変わって、有機農業に関心のある人たちのようだ。
その後は、市島町の造り酒屋のY名酒造にお邪魔する。社長は師匠とは仲間づきあいをされてる方で、今日で会うのはまだ2回目なのに、元気にしてるか、と背中を軽くたたいて聞いてくれた。うれしかった。
有機農業祭の間でこれが一番うれしかった。

畑に行くと、A社の実験圃場が発芽していた。これは二番目にうれしかった。

Tamba Organic Fes

Tamba organic farmers festival

In the moring, Mr.Earthworm came to give his bark compost to me. Thank you.
We all drive to festival sight. It is located in a camp sight in the mountains near here.
The atmosphere was changed completely, as I saw a lot of hippie type people. They built their own style of shops or booths. It looked very nice.

The festival started with a band of African drums. Its leader was a producer from Sasayama. A few bands or musician played one after another. The day was filled with nice musics, nice people, and it was nice and warm and peace.

I did MC on a panel discussion with 4 local producers. These panelers have strong different parsonality, so that the discussion went deep and smooth. We talked for only 40min, as the other program
went in behind.
A few people said, what we talked was square. What they liked was "good vegitables, and good friends and nice time" Really simple easy things.
I believe to protect the simple easy things, we sometimes need to be square.
I mean, we need school, hospital, police, a road with asphalt to live. All of these are made by our tax. And tax came from the square work.

The budget of this festival came from the government. The purpose was to learn about organic agriculture and to increase the consumers.
Today, we had a really nice time. Now the government asks how is the result.

祭の準備

丹波有機農業祭の準備をする。
10時丹波太郎に集合。

会場ではひたすら薪を割った。割るのは機械で、その機械を操作していただけだが疲れた。この機械は優れもので、犬くらいの大きさの金属の長いすの形状の台に、片方の端に油圧シリンダーがついていて、もう片方に楔型のとがったものがついている。その間に薪をセットする。すると、シリンダーが薪を楔に押し付け、そこから薪が裂けるように割れる。

途中で竹のモニュメントを作ったのは楽しかった。
インディアンのテントの骨組みのように数本の竹を立て頂点に近いところで結ぶ。それを1本20mくらいの竹で作る。
まず、3本の竹を三ツ矢のように置き、先を交差させ交点を結ぶ。3本の竹を寝かせたところから、それぞれの根元を中心に向けて運ぶ、と同時に交点を持ち上げる。するとテントの原型が出来上がるのでそこにどんどん竹を重ねていく。

ほぼ全員が準備に参加していた。

Study about rice

I need to drive to Sannomiya again. Today HOAS has a lesson for rice farmers. I am not interested in rice field at this momnet. But we, trainees, have no choice. We just have to go.
In the end, I understood the reason why we are invited to this study. We all ate 4 kinds of rices from different producers, and voted which one as best sweetness, best samell, best stickness or best gloss.
It was nice to see other trainees, as we are getting good friends as time goes. One of them, Kosuke, asked me to drive to his neighbourhood. On the way to home, we stopped at Happa-ya, where I ship my harvests to. Kosuke knoew the boss of Happa-ya. I think he is good at gethering information and making friend.

狸捕まる

晴れ

鶏舎に行くと狸が罠に捕まっている。
ここ数日鶏の雛が小動物に襲われ数が減っていた。こいつが犯人だ。
午前中の作業を終え、鶏舎に狸の様子を見に行くと、罠に片足をとらわれたまま、それでも鶏舎の金網を破り中に進入し鶏を襲おうとしていた。
放っておけないので狸を肥料袋に押し込み更に自由を奪って鶏舎から出した。破られた金網は後で師匠と修理した。

師匠は何度も狸や狐に食べる分以上の鶏を持っていかれている。殺したいから殺しているといってもいい。動物が食べる分だけ殺生する、って言う話は嘘だ。
それから、この辺りの鹿や猪は田畑のちょっとした隙間から侵入して作物を荒らす。農家が油断すると壊滅的に食べつくす。

ここに来て、動物の死を多く見るようになった。気分がいい訳ない。
ゴキブリだらけの袋を担ぐこともある。それも慣れたけど気分いい訳ない。

都会の人は理不尽なストレスと闘い、会社に勤め高い収入を得、高額の所得税、法人税を納め、都市機能を充実させ、その恩恵が田舎にも及んでいる。特に農業には多くの助成金が投入されている。
田舎では、コンクリートから差し込んでくるような理不尽なストレスは無く、自然豊かなところで生活している。その裏で、都会の人が感じることのない不快な思いをしながら、地べたを這いずり回って食べ物を作っている。
今、僕の知る限りでは田舎で生きていく方が難しい。
